LOL - you think you have problems Eric? When I bought the SiR it had 400 pound springs on each corner when we measured them and calculated it out. 400 front and a much lower poundage on the rear would be acceptable in a race car to balance it out, but on the street it was harsh and understeered dramatically. The backs only had 8 coils (about 1.2cm thick) and they dropped out of the struts when the car was jacked up. It looked mean lowered - but even on short trips I had to include a visit to the chiropractor tongue

The struts were Tanabe gas and were almost stuffed - very little gas left at all. The car was so low that I would either slam the front crossmember into the road leaving the driveway or scrape the catalytic converter going over small speed humps.

I've since put a complete Jamex suspension package on the car. Ride height is a lot higher - just below EF9 standard but designed by a club member for his EG twin-cam. The setup works beautifully on road and track and is better than standard as I am using EG lower wishbones which allows me to use fatter front shocks (recommended for durability given the weight of the B16A). The springs themselves are progressive rate (all four), so the ride is comfortable as well.

sometimes it can take up to a week of driving to get the coilovers to settle. we've had 3 different sets, and had the same problems with each set. On my Si, it's the right front side that never matches. On the Dx it was the rear left side. i have learned if you're gonna be anal about it, you're not going to be at peace until you forget about it or take them out. So, try not to be critical when 1 corner is a 1/8" off. Trust me, nobody will notice but you smile

Good luck working on it this weekend
